Hopefully, the entire membership of the Lions International
Trading Pin Club is aware of “Campaign Membership”. After
approval by the Board of Directors, we launched “Campaign
Membership” at the International Convention in Minneapolis, due
to the significant loss of members in the past few years. Our
original goal was 250 new LITPC members.
To date, we have 167 new members, which is a wonderful
achievement and a great leap forward. Further analysis indicates
that of a total membership of 750, 63 members are responsible for
inviting the new 167 members. We are truly indebted to these
dedicated members who have made the extra effort to improve
our LITPC organization.
The question is: how do we get the other 687 members to buy into
“Campaign Membership?” If everyone invited just one new
member, it would be huge! We all know that membership and
involvement is the life blood of just about any organization and
we are presenting you with the opportunity to get involved! And
remember, all new members and their sponsors will receive the
LITPC logo pin as a visible sign of their involvement.
It’s time for all of us to step up and become a part of “Campaign
Membership”. Carry an application in your wallet when you go to
a Lion activity and just take a look around the room to see who
might be interested in joining our hobby. Tell them how much fun
they can have. Tell them about the LITPC website, where they
can see just a small sample of the many, many exciting and
wonderful pins that are out there. Share with them that they, too,
can receive copies of the LITPC bulletin that you are now reading
and they will also receive a membership list of traders who are
willing and eager to trade pins by mail. We need to reach out and
invite members in. Let’s make a concerted effort to reach our goal
of 250 members – it is do-able!
