Wisconsin Pin Swap
Colby, Wisconsin

A little history and information regarding the Lions Pin Trader Club of Wisconsin's (LPTCW) Pin Swap held each year in Colby, Wisconsin. Our first swap was held primarily for Wisconsin Pin Traders in the very early 1990's and has since grown into a two and a half day swap attended by Lions from all over the USA and Canada. It is held in the Clubhouse of the Colby Lions in Colby, Wisconsin. We have in recent years set the date for our swap as the first weekend in October. In recent years several traders from the eastern states have traveled to our swap and then continued on to the Western States Swap held in Reno starting the following weekend.

The LPTCW has never charged for our swap and billed it as the only free swap in the USA. We provide goodies and beverages free of charge during the entire swap. We have a free Chili Supper on Thursday evening as we continue to trade pins. You are free to trade pins from 8:00 am on Thursday until we lock up when there are no more traders left to trade, play cards, dominoes, or just visit. On Friday, we trade from 8:00 am until 5:30 pm then go to a local supper club for an evening meal at the pin traders' own expense. Then, if you wish, back to the Club House for more trading or fun and games. Saturday morning we also open the doors for those wishing to continue trading. Most feel that two long days and nights are enough and by mid morning on Saturday, everyone is headed home.

This year we once again had a full house and some traders were in the back room. We only have a capacity of sixty tables so those attending need to let us know as soon as possible to guarantee them a table.

We had traders this year from twelve states and Canada and a very good time was had by all.

It is a great time of the year to see the fall beauty of the trees in Wisconsin. So you can enjoy them as well.

Hope to see you next year.
