PCC Chester “Chet” Kramer became a member of the Lions Organization in 1973. He resides in Williamsburg where he is a member of the Williamsburg Host Lions Club. PCC Chet served as the Governor of District 24D in 2007-2008 and served as Council Chair in 2011-2012. He has served as the Global Leadership Team Chair for District 24D and an active member of the faculty for the Regional Lions Leadership Institute. Lion Chet currently serves as President of the PTCV and the Lions of Virginia Hearing Foundation.
In recognition of service to the organization, he has received numerous awards, including nine International President’s Appreciation Awards, Lions of Virginia Distinguished Humanitarian Recognition, Lions 24D Charity Foundation Good Samaritan Recognition and a recipient of the International Presidents Leadership Medal. PCC Chet is also a Melvin Jones Fellow and a William A. Smith Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, PCC Chet has been active in numerous community organizations, including foster parenting for special needs children, run-away teen hotline volunteer, meals on wheels volunteer, served on advisory board for the Center for Science and Technology in Chesapeake and is the recipient of the City of Chesapeake Mayor’s Award for Community Service.
PCC Chet is employed with a commercial construction company working as a Construction Estimator and Project Manager specializing in historic restoration, church construction and medical facilities. PCC Chet has three daughters, four grandchildren and is engaged to his Partner in Service Lion Mary Lou Newman.
