There is no way that we can show the absolute beauty of this magnificent work of art. It is a 105 square inch quilt that was made specifically for the LITPC to raffle in support of the Campaign Sight First II project. The quilter has been adamant that she does not want her name revealed since the hour upon hour she devoted to creating the quilt was a labor of love. She has a passion for quilting and a passion for the many pin traders who have made she and her Lion husband's life so meaningful over the past few years. We have tried everything possible to give her the recognition that she richly deserves, but she is a very strong-willed individual and continues to hold us to our agreement at the time she started the project. Anyway, if you have not been given the opportunity to purchase a raffle ticket, and would like to have a chance to win this beautiful creation, please contact any member of the LITPC Board of Directors and you will have as many tickets as you desire. They sell one for $2.00, three for $5.00, and seven for $10.00. The drawing will take place during our Annual Meeting and Breakfast at the LCI International Convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Oh, by the way. The quilt is named as indicated in the heading of this article, "Luncheon in The Butterfly Garden". When you see it in person, you will be able to see all of the little butterfly's that are in the borders of the quilt. I really would love to win this, as I'm sure you will. It's a one-of-a-kind and should look great wherever it eventually finds a resting place. |
